Scientific Games has announced the launch of OpenGaming, which brings together a single solution for its content aggregation software, player account management system and in-game functionality. The manufacturer says it will be able to help clients create more immersive experiences to players by integrating their array of gaming resources in the OpenGaming wrapper.
It integrates the Open Gaming System, purchased through its NYX Gaming Group acquisition, which provides more than 2,500 games from in-house and third-party studios, all of which can be launched with features like jackpots, free-play, tournaments, and peer-to-peer play. This is complemented by the OpenPlatform (OPS) solution, which involves player management software, to provide what Scientific Games believes the operator needs to run an effective iGaming bid.
Talking about the announcement, Jordan Levin, chief executive for SG Digital Group, told reporters that their hope is to shift people’s thinking about player interactions through a more interaction rich interface that features the latest groundbreaking games. He continued, saying that OpenGaming takes their passion for great games and puts them into layers of technology to drive a new trend within the industry.
Adding to his, senior Vice President of Gaming at SG Digital added that as they continue to talk to players, they learn that they are competing with other sites for their attention. He added that with the release of OpenGaming, that also includes their OGS content aggregation platform, with their OPS player account management collection, their teams have taken on the challenge of the industry and created an entirely new ecosystem.
