Online gaming supplier Scientific Games has announced the appointment of Steven Stamstad as the new senior vice president of marketing and communication in the hope of increasing engagement with their stakeholders from around the world.
Stamstad, who will now report to CEO and president Barry Cottle, has been given the responsibility of increasing the operator’s position in the global market while also instituting new marketing and data driven practices. Stamstad is also expected to put more focus on the development of new products, building recognisable brand franchises, and increasing innovation throughout the entirety of Scientific Game’s portfolio of services and products.
Talking about the new VP role, Cottle stated that Steve is a strong addition to their executive team, and that his years of experience in the global marking sector, as well as entertainment and sports,, combined with his experience in the mobile and online world will help the company create a first-class global marketing team that will drive up growth in revenue and take Scientific Games to the next level.
Stamstad will be joining after previously working as the vice president of global brand marketing for home rental marketplace HomeAway, which is part of the US travel agency Expedia. Before this, Stamstad worked as vice president of worldwide marketing at video game publisher Electronic Arts, as well as marketing and creative vice president at the World Disney Company. His new appointment comes after the company recently released deals for its public offering of SciPlay.
