Online gaming operator and services provider Pragmatic Play announced that it has officially obtained a Recognition Notice from the Malta Gaming Authority on top of a license by the regulator. The developer and supplier of online casino content, who are based in Malta, currently holds a Critical Supply License, which gives it the ability to offer its products to locally licensed operators.
The MGA Recognition Notice allows the operator to provide its brand new Bingo and Live Casino products to other gambling operators that are also MGA-licenced. The official website of the regulator states that a Recognition Notice is given by the Authority whereby the authorisation is issued by a Member State of the EEA or EU, or a state that has been deemed by the Authority to offer safeguards equivalent to those offered by Maltese law, which provide the same effect as an authorisation from the Authority.
The new Recognition Notice allows online gambling companies to provide a gaming service or product in or from Malta. Pragmatic Play is licensed and certified to provide its range of titles in more than 20 countries, which includes Malta. Chief Business Development Officer Yossi Barzely stated that they are looking forward to offering their newest products and are delighted to have passed the criteria of the Malta Gaming Authority.
Pragmatic Play’s entry into the live casino segment first emerged earlier this year, and the company’s live dealer offering includes some of the most popular casino games, such as baccarat, blackjack, and roulette.
