Online iGaming giant solutions provider and gaming developer Playtech has recently signed a new deal with the Ontario Lottery to start providing them with their BetBuddy gambling data analytics technology. BetBuddy is Playtech’s proprietary solutions manager that is integrated into their IMS player management platform, allowing users to access risk insight, set up interactions via their real time Engagement 360 tools, along with the intent of creating safer gambling through gamification and tailored customer experiences.
Shimon Aka, the chief operating officer of Playtech, told reports that their new partnership, which includes the use of BetBuddy, will help keep OLG at the forefront of the industry when it comes to safer play. He added that Playtech’s position as the leading specialist of gaming technology and the betting industry means that they have a unique role to play in increasing the standards of safer gaming and consumer protection in order to support a sustainable and long term industry.
Ontario Lottery and Gaming is the only company in Ontario that is permitted to offering lottery services, although it may not remain the monopoly in the region as the Canadian government has already revealed plans to start legalising single vent sports betting within the province.
Playtech, earlier this year, expanded their partnership with GVC Holdings, and the deal will now see their entire suite of games feature across the many brands that GVC currently controls in markets that span the United Kingdom, Italy, Georgia, and Spain.
