New this April from Play’n GO is a long-awaited sequel to the studio’s super popular Gemix slot. Gemix 2 follows a similar pattern to the game that inspired it, but with several improvements added to the mix. These include an elevated top jackpot payout, the Cluster Pays mechanic, and even a special Crystal Charge meter for accumulating those big wins.

The bonus Crystal Charge meter plays a central role in how the slot functions. As winning symbols are continuously added to the bonus meter, one of four available in-game modifiers will be triggered. Gathering 25 symbols means triggering one of the modifiers, while successfully filling the meter with 50 will activate the Super Charge feature.
The modifiers are great for adding cash to the bankroll, and include:
- Light Beam: a special ray of light will beam across the screen while turning all “losing” symbols into new ones.
- Nova Blast: this modifier is an interesting one, as it will clear not only its own position to make way for new symbols, but also those symbols landed adjacently to it on the same reel. This happens with an explosion and great fanfare.
- Chain Lightning: a bonus lightning strike is the player’s reward, with lightning striking between two corners and turning every symbol across its path into a single type of (matching) icon.
- Crystal Warp: A single symbol will be chosen randomly before that symbol will be made to “jump” several spaces across the game area.
