Palace Station Hotel & Casino is a casino resort located off-strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. The expansion of its main building that will cover a massive 220000 square feet that cost an estimated $192 million to construct, will soon be nearing completion. The overhaul will see a huge amount being added to the original building that was opened by Frank Fertitta Jr in 1976.
It has been reported that the new section to be opened up in the next few weeks will include casino space, and will be situated on the eastern side of the building. Visitors can expect to find an added 500 slot machines, which will raise the total to 1800, which includes video poker machines. The added space will also see the addition of more table games, pushing it up to 43 table games in total.
Scott Nelson, the Vice President and GM of West Sahara Avenue recently led a tour of the new expansion, showcasing the various facilities that have been added. This includes a Regal Entertainment Group nine-screen film theatre, as well as four dining establishments.
Other improvements to the casino include a casino bar, a new restaurant, a renovated hall for poker, as well as racing and sports book venues. The theme of the original casino, which was based on trains, will also be replaced by a more contemporary aesthetic. The renovations will continue as more is added to the resort, with a lawn and dining area to be expected.
