Hard Rock Casino Flaunts Billion Dollar Expansion 
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino situated in Hollywood Florida held a press event on Wednesday to mark the start of their planned $1.5 billion expansion project. The main feature of this project is without a doubt the 35 story hotel that will be built in the shape of the company’s iconic guitar logo. The structure is set to stand 450 feet tall and will be designed to look as authentic as possible.
The Seminole tribe welcomed not only fans and industry players to the event but also rock royalty with the likes of Steve Van Zandt and Nicko McBrian from Iron Maiden amongst the luminaries. In true rock star fashion the ceremony featured guitar smashing and great musical performances.
Amongst the other planned attractions there will be a manmade lake as well as a larger venue for musical and stage performances. The planned date of completion for the expansion project will be the summer of 2019, with the venue hoping to be ready in time for the 2020 Super Bowl celebrations.
The Structural Changes
The casino side of the Hard Rock venue will be doubled once constriction is completed. There will be room for 3 267 slot machines and 178 table games. Most exiting however is the 18000 square feet that will be allocated to the new poker room. This is fantastic news for poker as the Hard Rock has always been a premier venue for international and local gaming events. With the new massive floor space dedicated to poker the venue can now scale up its role in major poker tournaments.
Another key area of the planned expansion is the renovation of the hotel and food and beverage facilities at the site. For a start the room count at the current venue will increased to 1300 rooms and suites. The pool facilities are set to be a jaw dropping site with a manmade island forming the main attraction. This island will be the main part of the Bora Bora experience. This will be a private villa experience set on the new island.
There will also be a 41 000 square foot spa and an equally expansive ball room for events and meetings. This expansion will be leading to great benefits for the local Florida community with an estimated 2000 temporary jobs and 3000 permanent jobs being created by the project.
