Cherry has announced that it will be targeting customers in the fledgling Polish market, outlining plans for the release of its new PZBuk.pl online sports betting service.
PZBuk, which can be translated as “The Polish Bookmaker” is Cherry’s latest sports betting brand, and the operator has said that it has placed it in line with names of other major sporting associations in the country. The company will be offering a full selection of sports betting services on a variety of sports, and all services will be offered exclusively to Polish punters.
Only ten companies hold online sports betting licences within Poland, of which Cherry was certified earlier this year in July, along with LV Bet, Betclic, and Fortuna. Some others include Star, Typ Sport, Totolotek, E-Toto, forBET, Totalbet, and Milenium. Poland’s latest gambling regulations were first initiated in April of last year, but since then, hundreds of domains have been blacklisted by the country’s regulatory agency.
Anders Antonssen, who currently leads investor relations and communications for the operator, has told reporters that the Polish market is strategically important, which is due to the low number of operators that are licensed to operate within the market.
Along with Cherry, Totalizator Sportowy, which is an online state lottery operating in Poland, has also recently launched their new iLotto service, allowing players to make use of the lottery online. The operator has been running tests on both the desktop and mobile versions of their new platform, which will be launched within the next month.
