The platform, DigitialRG.net is a cloud-based hub of tools and resources that can help online operators with business plans, monitoring, and much more. The service will also allow users to access a “pre-certification” solution, where they will be able to test processes against benchmarks in the industry, industry association certification standards, and check regulatory requirements.
This will give companies the chance to check what criteria they will need to meet in order to successfully apply for an industry process, and in turn ensures that all their policies, terms, and conditions are up to par before offering a new service to their customer base.
The new platform comes at a time where online operators have come under tremendous pressure to provide responsible gambling practices and limitations in order to avoid problem gambling. The UK Gambling Commission recently called on the industry to change how they manage things, and to help support any changes that may be coming in the future.
The Gambling Commission has also teamed up with the Responsible Gambling Strategy Board to start in-depth research into whether some types of gambling environments and services are more harmful than others. The study, once completed, may see many more forced policy changes for operators before the end of the year.
