Online casino betting operator Bethard has announced that they will be aiming to expand their presence within Europe after they acquired a licence to operate within Denmark. The company has already earned licences in Malta and the UK, and will be focusing on expanding its operations.
Bethard has reported that it has filed an application for an operating licence in Sweden, which was made ahead of the regulation changes that are taking place in the country during the first day of 2019. They have also applied for a state licence in the state of Schleswig-Holstein in Germany.
The operator has explained that they are actively seeking licences in markets around Europe, and hope to have a presence in a number of key markets by the end of 2020. Although they haven’t officially announced a launch date for their services in Denmark, they have told Danish players that they can expect to see some activity on their website within the next few weeks.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined Bethard in March as an ambassadorial and development role. The former Manchester United football player joined up just before the World Cup started, and the move proved to be successful, especially among the UK audience.
Erik Skarp, CEO of Bethard, has told reporters that the operator is satisfied that they received the green light in Denmark, and that they look forward to growing their presence within the Danish market, as well as other markets in the future.
