NetEnt has recently announced that it will be entering into an agreement with state-owned Finnish igaming operator Veikkaus. Veikkaus is currently Finland’s only licensed gambling operator, and the new partnership will see its online casino offerings increased with a new series of games from NetEnt.
Henrik Fagerlund, CPO of NetEnt and MD NetEnt Malta, has said that they are proud to be entering into this collaborating with Finland’s biggest gaming operator, and that the deal is being marked as an important milestone for their presence with the Finnish market. He finished by saying that he is convinced that their games will be enjoyed by Veikkaus’ players.
Veikkaus will be launching their new range of games on their platform within the first half of 2019, with the agreement lasting another four years. NetEnt is estimated to earn total revenue from the deal ranging between $5.75 million and $10.4 million.
VP of Casino Games for Veikkaus, Jan Hagelberg, has told reporters that they are delighted to be partnering with NetEnt, which is known for its games and its gaming solutions. He added that NetEnt games have been proven in the past to work well, and that their customers have consistently asked for NetEnt games to be added to their online casino platform over the last few years.
Veikkaus currently operates in both the offline and online markets, and they generated a turnover of around $ 3.67 million in 2017, with hopes of increasing that number this year.
