Gaming Innovation Group has hired Chris Armes as their new chief information officer, while also making a number of promotions internally for its technology team. Armes, who had previously been the chief technology officer for NYX Gaming Group and then SG Digital, will now be taking on the responsibility of GiG’s many technology assets, with much of the focus on enhancing their position as a B2B operator and partner.
Armes will be part of the C-Level management team at GiG, and will be reporting directly to chief executive Robin Reed. Talking about his new role, Armes told reporters that it was an opportunity to innovate in a dynamic industry, and that he was looking forward to pushing the boundaries of leveraging new tech and helping the operator make a leap forward ahead of their competition.
Reed added that Chris was the latest in a range of new tech management hires, and that he will be a fantastic asset for their team and their customers. The operator has also given new senior roles to Jonathan Gauci, Stephen Borg, and Jan Flores. Gauci, who had joined the company in June, had become the senior vice president of technology, while Borg will be taking on the role of director of data. Flores, who had been part of GiG since June, will enter the position of director of productions operations. GiG has stated that the new appointments would help them support senior roll out of their new platform and services.
