Betting start-up Luckbox has recently announced the appointment of Aleksander Dimitrov as the new head of product for the sportsbook as the operator prepares for the launch of its new platform. Dimitrov takes on the position after having previously worked as a product manager at Playtech, as well as head of product at Lottotech, marking a 10 year career in the iGaming industry.
He is now set to work with the Luckbox development team in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, helping them streamline their eSports elements as part of their new sportsbooks offerings. Lars Lien and Make Stevens, former PokerStars duo and founders of Luckbox, expect to launch its new sports betting platform sometime in early 2019, and will be receiving support from Omega systems.
Dimitrov is the latest of a series of senior hires at Luckbox ahead of its new launch. Alongside him is Quentin Martin, who’s is the new chief operating officer, as well as Vadim Soloveychik, who joined to take on the position of chief marketing officer.
Luckbox has also earned a gambling licence from the Isle of Man, and the operator has explained that the new licence will allow them to start expanding into new markets, such as the Nordics, CIS, and Canada regions. Chief product officer at Luckbox, Boris Mihov, has told reporters that the operator is working hard to build the strongest team they in terms of both experience and talent, as well as a passion for eSports and betting.
