Fabio Schiavolin, managing director of Snaitech, has told reporters that the company is aiming to have a swift rollout of their latest Smart Technology. The software will be offered across the entirety of Spain over the next few months. The announcement was made after it was announced that the company had secured a licence to begin offering their products outside their home market of Italy.
Snaitech’s latest platform comes in the form of BetSmart, which they hope will have a retail betting presence within Spain before the year is out. BetSmart will be released as part of a deal with operator Apuestas de Espana, which will be launching Apuestas by Snai in the country.
Shiavolin reported that the Snaitech is being transformed, and is currently reaching beyond their native home of Italy, where they have long been the leader in the market. He explained that after they have launched in Spain, they aim to begin expanding their presence within the Spanish market.
Shiavolin’s role as managing director of the Snaitech is set to continue until 2021, where he will be superseded by current Playtech chief executive Mor Weizer, who will become chairman of Snaitech.
Andrew Smith, who is currently Playtech’s chief financial officer, will be joining the board of Snaitech, and will serve alongside Chiara Palmeri, Mara Vanzetta, Raffaella Viscardi, and Andrea Nappa. This comes after it was confirmed that Playtech now owns 96.5 per cent of Snaitech, and that it will complete its takeover in early August.
